  1. A chameleon is any of some 80 or so species 
  2. of lizard of the family Chameleontidae. Some 
  3. species have highly developed colour-changing
  4. abilities, which are caused by changes in the
  5. intensity of light, of temperature, and of 
  6. emotion altering the dispersal of pigment 
  7. granules in the layers of cells beneath the 
  8. outer skin. The tail is long and highly 
  9. prehensile. Most chameleons live in trees and
  10. move very slowly.
